    • Senior Software Engineer, Applied AI

Reports to CTO · Rosslyn, VA (Hybrid with BU Travel)

      Job Description

This is a rare opportunity to see firsthand how AI creates real impact across vastly different industries and at companies ranging from regional to international operations.

This is a builder’s role. We are looking for a senior engineer who can architect and ship production AI systems — someone equally comfortable writing Python to integrate a vendor API, designing an agent framework that non-engineers can extend on their own, deploying a workflow to the cloud, and sitting with a finance or operations team to understand where AI can and can’t make impact.

You will partner closely with product and project management counterparts on the Applied AI team. Together you will deliver Gen AI solutions across multiple business unit engagements at different stages — some early in their AI journey, others further along — while also building the shared infrastructure and composable components that accelerate the entire portfolio.

You will operate as a high-leverage individual contributor with the autonomy to select tools and platforms. The role requires strong engineering judgment, an instinct for where AI actually creates leverage versus where it doesn’t, and the communication skills to work alongside non-technical stakeholders as easily as you architect a system.

Success requires exceptional emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust quickly across very different organizational cultures, leadership styles, and technical environments. Technical fluency matters, but people skills are equally important.

    • Senior Product Manager, Applied AI

Reports to CTO · Rosslyn, VA (Hybrid with BU Travel)

      Job Description

This is a rare opportunity to see firsthand how AI creates real impact across vastly different industries and at companies ranging from regional to international operations.

This is a practitioner’s role. We are looking for someone who can build and advise — someone equally comfortable prototyping a Gen AI solution with a business unit’s (BU’s) technical team, presenting a roadmap recommendation to a CEO, and coaching a non-technical operations leader on what AI can and can’t do for their business.

You will partner closely with senior engineering counterparts on the Applied AI team. Together you will deliver Gen AI solutions across multiple business unit engagements at different stages — some early in their AI journey, others further along — while also contributing to corporate-level AI initiatives. The role is deliberately designed to grow with the person who fills it.

Success requires exceptional emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust quickly across very different organizational cultures, leadership styles, and technical environments. Technical fluency matters, but people skills are equally important.

    • Manager, Information Security and Privacy

Reports to Director, Information Security and Privacy · Rosslyn, VA (Hybrid)

      Job Description

Graham Holdings is seeking a Manager, Information Security and Privacy to join the corporate information security team. The role serves as a key subject matter expert on cyber security, compliance and risk management for the company and its business units – maintaining and assessing enterprise-level governance standards, driving program consistency, and providing hands-on technical expertise for shared compliance and risk management programs.

This is not a traditional corporate security role defined by centralized authority or command-and control program management. The successful candidate will operate within a highly decentralized holding company model where influence, trust, and operational rigor are the primary drivers of security maturity across an autonomous and diverse portfolio of businesses.

The Manager will work regularly with portfolio company technology and security teams, the Director and CISO, internal and external auditors, and vendor partners — translating complex technical conclusions into clear, actionable guidance for executive leadership and non-security stakeholders.

The role suits an experienced IT risk, IT audit, and cybersecurity professional who takes genuine satisfaction in operational ownership and program quality — and the opportunity to contribute to a next-generation security operating model within one of America's most distinctive public companies.
