Pinkie Dent Mayfield
Vice President–Corporate Affairs & Chief Communications Officer

Pinkie Dent Mayfield is responsible for oversight of public relations, communications, corporate affairs and investor relations. She has held several leadership roles with the Company to include special assistant to the chairman, vice president-corporate solutions and assistant treasurer. Mayfield joined Graham Holdings Company (then The Washington Post Company) in 1998 as the corporate cash manager. Previously, Mayfield was a vice president and trust officer at NationsBank (now Bank of America), where she worked in the Investment Services Division. Earlier in her career she was with Prudential Securities.

Mayfield currently serves as treasurer of the board of directors of the District of Columbia College Access Program (DC-CAP) and a trustee of the Philip L. Graham Fund. She is also on the board of directors of the Washington Area Women’s Foundation, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, and chaired the board of Leadership Greater Washington (Class of 2001). Mayfield previously served as a trustee of Trinity Washington University. She has been honored with the Washington Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Award (2013) and received an Honorary Doctor of Laws (2016) from her alma mater, Trinity Washington University.

Mayfield graduated magna cum laude with a BA in business administration from Trinity Washington University, and received an MBA from the University of Maryland University College.
